The campus is located in the 75-acre KINFRA Film and Video Park at Kazhakkuttom. The Video and Animation Park, which is the first of its kind in India, has already attracted premier media companies to set up their firms here and hence is the apt environment for a Media School to function.
The sprawling campus. Llocated fifteen kms away from Thiruvananthapuram, the campus is well connected by road and rail. Far from the din and bustle of the city, the campus will provide a serene atmosphere for academic and creative development.
The vast facilities of KINFRA Open Air Theatre, Conference Hall, Animation and Sound Recording facilities for film projection are also available to the students. Bharath Mohanlal’s recording studio, VISMAYA, is located near DCSMAT Media School. Besides this, the processing lab and Cannes Award winner Murali Nair’s postproduction facility is also on the same campus. The State Chalachitra Academy is also planning to set up their campus here.
The Government has declared Kinfra as Special Economic Zone making it the first SEZ for Animation & Gaming in India. Special Economic Zone is a specially delineated duty free enclave and deemed foreign territory for the purposes of trade operations, duties and tariffs.
