Vision
The DC Media School is envisaged to be a centre of excellence in research, training and production in media. With a broad-based approach to media systems and its varied interactions with society, the school is deeply committed to generate new talent, foster creativity and innovativeness, facilitate collaborative learning, and democratize media practices.
The institution will be a major initiative driven by the DC Kizhakemuri Foundation and is eminently supported by DC BOOKS, Kerala’s top publishing house and a recognized knowledge leader in South India.

The distinctive edge of the Media School is its integrated structure of training, production and research. This interlinked enterprise is unique to the DC Media School. To develop quality research and production, Media School has prioritized its objectives for the first phase of development and implementation.
They include publishing of an international journal in Media Studies, interactive and broadcast media productions, benchmarked against international standards and regular workshops and seminars on areas of concern that shape up media and its societal implications.
The commitment to excel in training in Media is to be enabled through collaborative programmes with universities of global repute. Similarly, the Media School will also have tie-up with the industry and other stake holders.
